I am a native Texan, an honors graduate of both Trinity University in San Antonio and South Texas College of Law in Houston. I grew up in the big skies and red dirt of Snyder, Texas and graduated from high school in Lubbock. My husband, a University of Texas grad, and I chose to raise our family in Austin. We’ve been in Austin since 1990. We are locavores. We love the diverse Austin music scene, exploring local businesses and restaurants, hiking local trails with our dogs, and paddling on Lady Bird Lake.
I’ve practiced law in Texas since 1986, and I’ve handled many kinds of legal matters ranging from drafting contracts to bringing and defending lawsuits. My passion is helping entrepreneurs and small to medium sized businesses. Locally-owned businesses are the backbone of the community. These businesses have the same on-going legal needs as large corporations, yet they cannot afford an in-house legal department. This blog contains general legal information of interest to Central Texas entrepreneurs, start-ups, and locally-owned businesses.
